On September 23, 2025<\/strong>, the Toila Sea Restaurant hosted an inspiring and joy-filled Creative Industries Focus Day<\/strong>, which marked the grand finale of the mentor programme \u201cCreative Bloom\u201d<\/em> carried out in Ida-Viru County.
The day became a heartfelt and festive conclusion to an 18-month journey<\/strong> that helped dozens of women turn their creative ideas into viable businesses.<\/p>\n

Project story and purpose<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The mentor programme \u201cCreative Bloom\u201d (CB0500277)<\/em> was implemented under the European Union\u2019s INTERREG Central Baltic Programme 2021\u20132027<\/strong>, co-financed by the Ministry of Culture<\/strong> and the British Council<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Estonia, the programme was coordinated by the Ida-Viru Entrepreneurship Centre Foundation<\/strong> as the lead partner, with Vidzeme Planning Region (Latvia)<\/strong> as a project partner.<\/p>\n

The programme ran for 18 months (May 2024 \u2013 October 2025)<\/strong>, with a total budget of \u20ac213,398<\/strong>, of which 80%<\/strong> was financed by the European Union and 20%<\/strong> came from self-financing sources.<\/p>\n

Creative Bloom<\/em> was a cross-border project<\/strong>, where groups of creative women in both Estonia and Latvia<\/strong> participated simultaneously, with the shared goal of developing the creative industries in their respective regions.<\/p>\n

The programme aimed to strengthen women\u2019s entrepreneurship in Ida-Viru County<\/strong>, increase the role of creative industries in the regional economy<\/strong>, promote cross-border cooperation with Latvian partners<\/strong>, and enhance the competitiveness of the local creative sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Women-to-women mentorship and growth<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sixteen women aged 40+ from Ida-Viru County were selected for the mentor programme. All were already engaged in some form of creative activity \u2014 be it handicrafts, design, art, music, or other creative services<\/strong> \u2014 and were ready to take the next step from hobby to entrepreneurship.
A total of 15 participants<\/strong> successfully completed the programme.<\/p>\n

They were supported by six experienced mentors<\/strong> who shared their knowledge, experience, and inspiration:<\/p>\n
