Micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (number of employees up to 10)
The Ida-Viru Entrepreneurship Centre Foundation (SA Ida-Viru Ettevõtluskeskus) provides services for start-up entrepreneurs, funded by the European Union.
From 2024 to 2029, the Ida-Viru Entrepreneurship Centre, together with the NGO Association of County Development Centres and other regional partners, will implement a support programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The total budget for the two funded measures (abbreviated as MAK 1 and MAK 2) is €12,528,571, financed by the European Union’s Cohesion and Internal Security Policy funds. The national co-financer is the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture, whose aim is to promote regional balance, strengthen the economy and living environment of rural areas, and ensure sustainability and competitiveness.
Objectives, target groups and supporting activities of the MAK1 and MAK2 measures
MAK 1 – Increasing SME awareness and providing counselling in county development centres
MAK 2 – Developing SME skills in county development centres
GOALS
The purpose of the support is to strengthen the economic growth and competitiveness of SMEs in all Estonian counties, reduce regional disparities, create jobs, increase entrepreneurial activity, enhance the knowledge intensity and added value of enterprises, and improve the knowledge and skills of their employees.
TARGET GROUPS
The target group consists of SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises, including micro-enterprises) operating in the target region (see the European Commission’s “User guide to the SME definition”).
